Doug Warner
Producing Director & Artistic Associate
 
Doug Warner has been the Producing Director of Camelot Theatre Company since the 2005 season. Mr. Warner has an extensive background in acting, directing, design, music and theatre management. He served as Executive Director and Artistic Coordinator of The Mendocino Theatre Company for seven seasons. He was also co-founder and Producing Director of the Warehouse Repertory Theatre, founder and owner of Crossfire Productions, co-founder and Managing Director of Jumpstart Childrens Theatre, is currently owner of Whirlyfair Productions and has been successfully managing all aspects of theatre for over 25 years. 
 
Mr. Warner’s CTC directing credits include Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, Dancing At Lughnasa, Sockdology, Spitfire Grill, and The Miracle Worker. At other theatres he has directed Side Man, Light Up The Sky, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Black Comedy, We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!, A Flea In Her Ear, Buried Child, Miracle Worker, Burn This, Duet For One, and more. As an actor at CTC Mr. Warner has played Norman in The Dresser, Otto in Bullshot Crummond, Michael in Dancing at Lughnasa, Clifton in 1940’s Radio Hour, Timber in American Daughter, Edward Devere in Beard of Avon and has played everything from Claudius in Hamlet to Lenny in Mice and Men at other theatres. Other artistic skills include professional blues musician and he has recently released a blues CD of original music entitled Fading Gracefully, which can be found at DougWarnerBlues.com. He is also a teacher, improv comedian, painter, set and sound designer and musical director.
 
As Producing Director, Mr. Warner carries the primary responsibility for financial and business administrative operations of the company and as Artistic Associate, he assists Ms. Genise in her role as creative leader of the company by providing artistic feedback and hands-on support.
